To very slightly slow down the heating up of the earth -- by wearing warmer sweaters, or using our bicyles more, or separating our garbage with greater care or by putting filters into some smokestacks -- is a pitifully ineffectual approach. Slowing down the heating up is plainly not the issue. That is patently not enough. The task is to give the earth a chance to again gradually cool down. There is no hope of that, that will not happen unless we create a from the ground up New Economy, an economy has not Mass Production but Hi-Tech Community Production at its base.

2. THE DOWN AND LOW WILL NOT ONLY BE FED AND CLOTHED. THEY WILL BE ON THEIR WAY UP TO A PLEASURABLE, AND FULFILLING LIFE. HTSP WILL ASSIST THEM OUT OF THE POVERTY OF THEIR DESIRES. THEY WILL BECOME STRONG AND ALSO LEARN MANY SKILLS. THIS WE KNOW FROM A GREAT NUMBER OF EXAMPLES.

3. FROM THE BEGINNING IT WAS ONE OF THE MAJOR AIMS OF NEW WORK TO REDUCE THE TOIL NEEDED TO ACHIEVE THE REQUISITES FOR A PLEASURABLE AND FULFILLING LIFE. WE HAVE ASSEMBLED TECHNOLOGIES
