New Work In Action
New Work Projects incorporate New Work Technologies in a wide range of applied settings and with a broad variety of scopes. At one extreme, New Work seeks to build a network of New Work communities, each complete with fully equipped community centers, housing developments, village-wide infrastructures, community, self-providing activities, and decentralized manufacturing centers.
At the other extreme, New Work can organize small groups to band together to employ hightech self-providing techniques while organizing a co-operative business venture to manufacture components for New Work technologies.
New Work provides the conceptual framework needed so that that a comprehensive strategic approach is able to achieve economically independent communities.
Professor Bergmann's worldwide efforts in promoting these ideas have produced the beginnings of a global network of New Work communities as well as the development of various projects which are rooted in New Work.
